Are you alone on Valentine’s Day? Don’t get depressed! Remember that you too can have a wonderful Valentine’s Day. And you can do it in romantic style too!
Valentine movies that fit your dream
There are many people who don’t give a crap about this day. They don’t believe in it, or whatever. For those, this day is like so many others. But if you’re a true romantic (Charlotte!!) you might want to celebrate it either way. You don’t always have to have someone by your side to have a romantic day. Simply take some time for yourself, pour some wine or tea, lay on the couch or in your bed and watch these romantic movies that put you in the Prince-Charming-Will-Come-mood or the See!-Love-Is-Real-mood. Er zijn genoeg mensen die geen fluit geven om deze dag. Ze geloven er niet in, of whatever. Voor hen, is deze dag als vele andere. Maar als je een ware romanticus bent (Charlotte!!) zou je het misschien sowieso willen vieren. Je hoeft niet altijd iemand aan je zijde te hebben voor een romantische dag. Neem gewoon wat tijd voor jezelf, schenk wat wijn of thee in, maak het jezelf comfortabel op de bank of in bed en kijk naar deze films waarmee je direct in een Prins-Op-Het-Witte-Paard-Zal-Komen-mood of Zie-Je!-Liefde-Bestaat-Echt-mood komt. 1. Chocolat
I mean, it’s always a good idea to see Johnny Depp, right? And this story is even about chocolat too! I mean hellooooo! Chocolates and romance. How more Valentine’s Day would you like to have it?
Ik bedoel, het is altijd een goed idee om Johnny Depp te zien, toch? En dit verhaal gaat ook nog eens over chocolade! Ja hallooooooo! Chocolade en romantiek. Hoe meer Valentijnsdag wil je het hebben?
2. The Notebook
The only movie that shows that true love exists. This is one of my all time favorite movies. It’s simply so beautiful. And with Ryan Gosling. (Win!) I have read the book before the movie came out and I cried for pages and pages. I was so happy when this movie was finally here!
De enige film die laat zien dat ware liefde bestaat. Dit is een van mijn favoriete films ooit. Hij is gewoon zo prachtig. En met Ryan Gosling (win!). Ik had het boek gelezen voordat de film uitkwam en ik huilde pagina’s lang. Ik was zo blij toen de film uit kwam!
3. Stardust
A fairytale movie that shows that love can change.
Een sprookjesfilm die laat zien dat liefde ook kan veranderen.
4. Funny Girl
A career woman! I always cry at the end. Her love is so real. This is not the typical love story and don’t forget to get some tissues. I wrote about it here before.
Een echte carrièrevrouw! Ik moet altijd huilen op het eind. Haar liefde is zo echt. Dit is trouwens niet een typische love story en vergeet vooral niet om wat tissues klaar te zetten. Ik schreef er hier al eerder over.
5. French Kiss
This movie makes me happy for several reasons. One is that it makes you feel as if spring is just around the corner. And two: that real love will always triumph.
Deze film maakt me zo blij om verschillende redenen. Een is omdat je het gevoel krijgt dat het elk moment lente kan worden. En twee: that real love will always triumph.

6. Love Actually
This movie is so romantic. Though it doesn’t really fit the season now, or does it? I wrote about this movie here earlier.
Deze film is zo romantisch. Maar hij past niet echt bij nu, of toch wel? Ik schreef er hier al eerder over.
7. A Walk in the Clouds
I might have told you earlier that I totally love Keanu Reeves. And this movie is so romantic. I mean: grapevines, back in the days. See it and know what I mean.
Ik heb je misschien al eerder verteld dat ik helemaal gek ben van Keanu Reeves. En deze film is zo romantisch. Ik bedoel: wijngaarden, oude tijden. Zie hem en je begrijpt wat ik bedoel.
8. Mamma Mia!
A movie where you don’t have to cry all the time 😉 Sit down, relax and laugh and sing along! There’s love for everyone.
Een film waarbij je niet de hele tijd hoeft te huilen 😉 Ga zitten, relax en lach en sing along! Er is liefde voor iedereen.
9. Pride and Prejudice
The romantic TV Mini Series based on the romantic classic novel of Jane Austen. 19th Century dramas and love. With Colin Firth as a wonderful Mr. Darcy. Oh how I love costume dramas.

10. Titanic
And of course, the romantic movie of all romantic movies. Titanic. I think it doesn’t even need an introduction. Are you ready to go back to Titanic?
